Tuesday, December 1st is World AIDS Day. To help commemorate the day, Panacea Luminos has created a Snapzilla group to share images. Send your images from World AIDS Day events to wad@slpics.com. You can also upload images to the group by first joining it here.
Once you have joined the group, you can also add existing images to the group on the image detail page for the image you want to add. Emailing in images to the group will automatically add you to the group if you are not already a member.
A box of tshirts for the event is available as an attachment to a group notice in the Snapzilla Fans group in world if you would like to join it as well.
More information about Karuna and World AIDS Day 2009 in Second Life can be found here.

There is a simplicity about this image that I love, and the glow effect is beautiful.

For today's random shot, I went into my own collection of images. This is from 2005, and was from a party where you came as the child version of your avatar (long before all the child av controversy). This is my avatar as a child:

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, or at least a great Thursday if you don't celebrate it. Here is the latest round of images:

Opensource Obscure ~ Forum Second Life Italia 1/4
You rarely see such a large posed group shot like this. I assume it is a group of members from an Italian SL forum.

I got a little sidetracked preparing for Thanksgiving, so I am combining days instead of skipping one:

Panacea Luminos ~ Perplexing
Stunning image. Make sure you check out the full version.

Torley Olmstead ~ I'm a Freaking Panda With Laser Eyes
Another great image from Torley. It's cute and bizarre at the same time.

Snapzilla has had support for sending images to Flickr for several years, using Flickr's email functionality. However, one limitation of this method is that it does not allow any formatting in the description, so no HTML can be included.
Several users have requested the ability to add a SLURL link to the end of their description on Flickr. To enable this functionality, along with the ability to pass formatting from Snapzilla to Flickr, I have begun implementing the more advanced Flickr API. This will also allow future enhancements like the ability to add your images to Flickr pools and also import images from Flickr.
Update:
I figured out how to add the SLURL link to Flickr images without using HTML, so SLURL links will now be included for non-private location images. I will still be adding more advanced Flickr integration as an option, along with the current simple email support.

jeaniesing Trilling ~ My style1
I love this avatar shot. Great sense of style. The whole thing is very glamorous. It is nice to see an avatar with some curves instead of the ridiculous slider settings you normally see.

The futuristic Deshima sim has been the source for some incredible images on Snapzilla, including the image above entitled Swim by Prandi Capalini. He did a whole series in the album ABSTRACT FROM DESHIMA. The images remind me almost of some crazy futuristic cross between Battlestar Galactica and a Kandinsky painting. I love the images so much I am inspired to go explore the sim. Several other people have sent in some great images from Deshima. I would definitely love to see more. If anyone knows more information about this sim, please leave a comment.
