  I fucking quit. Fuck Burning Life.

Today was the last fucking straw for me. The micro-management, chaos, and petty squabbles have fucking RUINED Burning Life for me.

Out of protest to the absolute debacle that BL has become, I made the above effigy.

They are free to copy at my place -- since I'm sure the ones I left on my abandoned plot will be deleted very soon...

I was so hoping that it would be a success with so many talented folks out there .My gut said 'no' from the onset- it could not find the sense of freedom that is BL. Yes, I know it has parameters but it felt more like policing and too much structure for a virtual event. Well here I go again on and on .....but I stayed away from the desert this year

Neb, you've made the right decision. I was threatened and harassed via offline IM's this morning myself, so I have pulled out too. Its a sad state of affairs, many hopes dashed, egos inflated and LOTS of angry words. Look closely everyone, its the end of Burning Life.

This is sad to see. I hope LL is paying attention and takes control of the event again next year... maybe it wasn't perfect under their lottery system, but it was a damn sight better than this.
