My Mood:  SL Join Date: 2003-04-01 | Post count and credibility as i slowly try to pad my post count despite having nothing interesting to say, i had a thought... when someone steps into a conversation with single unit post count, that person is generally disregarded as a Noob, or worse, as an Alt and the person is ignored. therefore it's good to have a history on the forum and a healthy postcount. on the other hand, is it possible to have a postcount that is just too high, whereby people ignore your posts due to an assumption that a high post count means verbiosity or inanity? at what point is your post count too high? |

My Mood:  | The truth is post counts shouldn’t be considered when reading some ones post, but they are. The same held true with the rating system in SL, at first it was intimidating to me until I found out that it had been easy to pad those ratings, and many ppl did. But still…I’ll always look at the number of posts to determine if a person has any sort of commitment to the Forum or is just a lurker. Early join date + low post count = Lurker |
