Oh I also want to address this rumor that I am somehow banned from every other third party forum, which is speciously false.

I was banned from one, on incorrect information that the site owner publicly apologized for stating. That ban was removed. I am not banned from any others, have never been banned, have never been told nor asked by the owners of any other sites that I am not allowed to post anywhere. Beyond a particular site that I have absolutely no interest in supporting in any capacity because I don't support moderators/owners of any site reveling in, organizing and supporting personal attacks of others, I have no problems or qualms with any other forums and simply choose to post here, where I had been as long as I was on SC, where I had posted simultaneously the entire time I also posted at SC, because I don't really want to maintain memberships and conversations across fifteen different sites. I don't have the time or attention span to ensure I'm top poster in all of them and must consolidate efforts.

To pretend that sites spring up to avoid me really makes no sense, because I don't post anywhere else. Thus there wouldn't be a need for four other sites when one would simply do. Obviously other forums popped up because the site owner believed they could supply something they felt was lacking in others.

Or I guess the simply reason is to blame me, because my aura of evil is so strong I drive people not only from SLU, but other sites where I don't or have never posted before.

At any rate if my goal was to start shit and start trouble I could do so, so easily. I don't only post here because I think I have some magical shield of power that Cris supplies me where I can never be punished. I'm not "afraid" to post anyplace else. And if I just wanted to start shit I could with little effort at all, and not even banning me would stop it.

So let's dispense with the rumors, k?

Do you really mean this literally? That there are mods/owners spending their time *organising* personal attacks against you? Is there anyone here who has seen this? - because I haven't.

That sounds just a bit spooky to me, that you would even have it in your mind as to what you could do if banned. No mod will ever have to ban me to get rid of me - I assume I am here as their guest, and if they want me to leave all they have to do is ask and I'll go, and go quietly.

I agree completely. Lets dispense with the rumours that you are banned where you are not, and with the rumours that the other forums are out to get you in some way or another. To be honest, I can't remember you being mentioned in anything more than passing at SS or DoD for months.

There is an entire subforum on Darkmere called the "Jive Free Zone." If you type in Josh (and presumably also Joshua) it auto formats your post into "Jive." None of these things could have been done without moderator/owner cooperation. For significant amount of time, before I asked people to stop doing so, I was being sent daily screenshots of the offensive things being said not just about me, but also Cris and Flipper and Aimee and FIC. Anyone who stood up for FIC in any capacity was talked about heinously. By moderators. With moderator approval. I don't care who is the target of these things, be it me or anyone else, but it's unacceptable. No other forum, not even SC, had its owners/moderators display such wanton hatred towards others. And the only step SC ever remotely took in that direction was giving Prokofy an avatar after she was asked to follow the site's only rule.

And trust me, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this, because it wasn't just a passing mention of offense towards me. For the longest time the only point of Darkmere was to talk shit about others.

It's a statement of fact. If anything the experience with the person stalking Cris and I has taught me lots of ways to get around IP bans. Admittedly I probably couldn't register as "Joshua Nightshade" anymore, but if my goal were to stir shit and offend as many people as possible because I'm "terrible inside" then I could do so, easily, with little fuss. It's not a threat, it's a response to continued assertions by some people that I'm some kind of abusive sociopath.

And I agree on the guest analogy. If any one had or does ask me to stop posting, or preemptively asks me not to post anywhere, I would do so with no fight at all. My qualm with the SS escapade was that this didn't even happen, and further it was done based on incorrect and libelous material.

I never said the other forums were out to get me. I said people have been perpetuating rumors that I am banned everywhere else but here, which is not true. Beyond Darkmere, which has had those running it personally attack me and configure the forum to insult me, and others, I have no issue with anyone else who runs any other site. As I said in the post you quotes.

Josh, I have no idea what you are talking about when you say people who "stood up for FIC" were talked about "heinously" by others, by moderators, that is nuts.

I, and I was not alone, defended FIC and didn't get any flack for doing so.

"The longest time"? No, just the post SC fallout really and half of that was Mulch drama.

No one has mentioned your name over there in dogs ages and frankly, there is another forum where you are being talked about so please stop beating this Darkmere drum.

Yes, there's no secret that you're not welcome at DoD, many of the people there at it's inception, wanted a Josh free forum.
Yes, some posters have insulted other people. Get over it, it happens on forums.
Is Cris responsible for everything that's said on SLU, I think not.

Frankly I couldn't care less what you think of me, Josh. And I'm not going to rise to this crap. Have fun with your tinfoil cap. I'm off to do something more interesting than duel on a forum, with a narcissistic egomaniac.

As a forum administrator, I would not presume to tell someone else how to run a forum, which is yours to run as you choose. You and I have known each other for awhile, and though we have not always seen things eye to eye, we've been able to set aside our differences.

However, I do think that excluding someone and then allowing open season on attacking them is not a good thing, and that is something you are responsible for. Regardless of what was said about me, FIC, etc.. there, we at least had the opportunity to register and respond (even though you did keep all this stuff hidden behind registration). However, Joshua did not have an opportunity to respond to it.

Ok, lemme just say something before Josh wakes up and starts posting, ahem.

It's hard to remember now but when the Duchy started it was like a civil war on SC. Mulch got banned. Police where contacted. Everyone was upset and angry and taking sides. Josh was in the thick of it.

At the time, I refused to "take sides" and said so. I said right on that forum that I didn't like that he couldn't see or respond. I remember Mulch saying it didn't matter because he would find out anyway and he was right.

People vented and fumed and then it was over and everyone wanted to move the fuck on, already.

I will also say this. No one there, not even Mulch, had an issue with my disagreement with them. But Josh accused me of being a "Mulch puppet" and put me on ignore for asking the wrong questions.

No one was acting very adult at that time.

Josh likes to say that he doesn't care what people think of his posts. Fine. It comes with a price though. As I said, no one really mentions his name at the Duchy anymore, haven't for ages. But there is a new forum with a new private place to bitch about shit and Josh is included. But still this old shit gets dragged up again and again and now it's embellished.

From what I remember, Luc tried to stay out of it as much as possible.

There is no embellishment on my part - I was addressing what Lucifer said, that it was not his responsibility what people say. That is only true to a degree - he actively prevented Joshua from posting there at a time when people were posting about him. Joshua has his flaws, but he doesn't hide in secret and talk trash about other people.

What is with the secrecy over the new forum's private area, btw?

But I stand by what I said, that it was in response to rather extraordinary circumstances going on at that time. Even though I disagreed with it and said so.

The other has registered only forum, just like the Duchy has.
