One Star Reviews on Amazon

As people may, or may not, know, one of the London 2012 Olympic mascots is a bizarre creature called Wenlock, who looks at bit like a sex toy gone wrong (his friend Mandeville doesn't look much better).

As is customary, the mascots are being sold in a variety of guises, including one of Wenlock as a copper.

Via a comment in Popehat,, the one-star reviews for this item are corkers.

Examples include

Also known as "My Little Drony", this plastic Beelzebub all-knowingly looks into my very thoughts like the Eye of Sauron in in a hat. The five Olympic rings were forged in the fires of Mordor, and I know that Wenlock wants them, to gain supreme power over the human race, on behalf of Adidas, BP, Dow Chemical, McDonalds, and all the other hoardes of Satan, I mean, sustainability partners. I know that Wenlock can hear me typing - he can scent that I've used the word Olympics in a non-corporate approved manner, diluting his unholy brand image. I fear I haven't got much time... He is at the window... I... OH GOD... PLEASE... NO!

Ever since getting this figurine I have heard strange noises from the cellar. I daren't go down there for fear of a fatal kettling.

I had heard some negative buzz about the mascot but I hadn't seen it yet. geez. Where do they come up with these things?

That's just as bad as the Atlanta 1996 one:

I think "wenlock" is perfect for the london games... reminds me of a walking cctv camera.

I'm surprised they didn't pull the bobbie wenlock. It's kinda in your face about it.

What ever happened to simple cute plush toys? When did they stop using sweet bears and doggies, and replace them with weird beings from Ass-Ugly-Planet to represent the Olympics?

Why Oh Why were you replaced, Little Fluffy?
