Why are most weeaboos utter tards?

I mean OK, there are exception.

But most weeaboos seem to be obnoxious social retards who effect a misguided air of superiority.

Why is this?

Not knowing what the term "weeaboo" means, I don't think I can help you. I went to look up the term, and not only did the definition I found not help me, it actually decreased my overall knowledge. I have now forgotten math... all of it.

I would ask you to explain, but I'm afraid I'll forget my mother's name or something like that.

I think the hive mind is working today. Like 15 minutes ago I had a need to check how weeaboo is spelled.

This reminds me. I was at one of the local malls yesterday, and there was a Hello Kitty shop there. I don't think I have ever seen so much pink in one place. It actually burned my retinas a little.

In short, weeaboos are anime obsessed losers. They are often crazy over everything Japanese and most of their "knowledge" of the country comes from anime.

Common weeaboo traits:

Being socially awkward with the mentality and emotional understanding of a small child.

Excessive emoticon use. They will frequently end sentences with ":3" and "XD".

Wishing they were Japanese and even pretending to be, especially online.

Randomly using Japanese words even though they know nobody around understands. They often do this for seemingly no reason other than to tell people what it means, pretending that they're somehow more cultured than everyone else.

Wishing they had an asian girlfriend. This is often done while sitting in their room alone fapping to hentai on their favorite image board.

Weeaboo example:

Well most folks who go from a general enjoyment of something and into a complete obsession over it tend to be like this. Although with the coming of the internet age the social retard part has become the biggest problem. Before if you obsessed over something you still had to go out, talk to people and all that if just to find more of what you wanted. Now you just have to hit Amazon, Ebay or a bittorrent site to get your fix. I think most of us on here have met some SL obsessed folks who are like this.

Right after they released the Geisha coat, I was thinking of naming a meeroo "Weeaboo." Of course then I'd also need to name one "Cherohonkee." Thanks for the reminder!

Ah nuts! Just as I finally got around to making an anime avatar, too!

*crafts paper bag to place over his head* (and yes, that's a doll key sticking out of his back)

(OK, seriously: I made it as a joke, but he is kind of cute: what the f*ck can I do with him? I might as well explore a little bit since I've put time and a few lindens into it)

The weeaboos.... Drat them! DOUBLE DRAT THEM!!!

But I can't just hate them, I can't stand "nerds" anymore as a whole. Like, when did it become so awesome to act like a total snotty cock and act as if you're far superior/bad ass then everyone?(which is all bullshit chest puffing, I'd LOVE to see them actually act on the shit they talk) Also, in my experiences lately, they really can be horribly racist too.

And don't get me started on the nerd cliques.

could never understand the obsession with anime, I think Akira was about the only one I could actually sit through until completion, I didn't think it was particularly great either.

One of my "mates" growing up was an anime fan and he was an utter tard who I suspect just got off watching the young girls naked in them.

creep.

Howdy SLU, my name is Kenichi Smith.

I a 27 year old Japanese Toonaholic (Cartoon fan for you foreigners). I draw cartoons and comics on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and playing superior American games. (Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty)

I train with my 1911 every day, this superior weapon can shoot straight through steel because it kicks the ass, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earn gun license two years ago, and I getting better every day.

I speak English fluently, both the Midwestern and the East Coast accents, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about American history and their Constitution, which I follow 100%

When I get my American visa, I am moving to New York to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Nickelodeon or a game designer!

I own several cowboy outfits, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to America, so I can fit in easier. I keep cool to my elders and seniors and speak English as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.

Wish me luck in America!

I started with the classics "Cowboy Bebop" and "Ghost in the Shell" which Adult Swim has run on the Cartoon Network, and later "Samurai Champion" by the same producer who did Bebop. I've tried watching some other series and even got through a couple of them ("Witch Hunter Robin", "Neon Genisus", and... Something else), and I even collected a Manga series for a while until I figured out that I just wasn't getting into it and gave it all away.

The first three listed are the only ones really worth while as far as I'm concerned. Two are really just American Culture thrown back at us, while "Ghost" is just damn cool (it inspired "Matrix").

Almost everything else I've seen has been formulaic with obligatory fan service, bearing occasional sloppy references to Christianity and western philosophy/literature when they want to appear profound (to be fair, we do it too, "grasshopper"). Maybe I'm just not seeing catching the good stuff. There.s not allot [sic] out there that represents an artist's "statement", which is what makes a really good show.
