| A Guide to Asian Emoticons You may have noticed when standing next to someone talking in Japanese or Korean in SL a lot of strange facelike symbols mixed in with the Kana. These are Asian or Eastern Emoticons, they are very different from the western ones as they are read without having to tilt the head. Asian emotes also place much greater emphisis on the eyes rather then the mouth as seen in western emotes.
