Anyway, they are not bryozoa... and I didnt think they were after reading about those very interesting creatures (which are much more like corals, though they are unrelated to them - a case of convergent evolution)

Tubifex worms -

Tubifex tubifex - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pretty interesting. Once I looked at them closer I realised that it had to be it. Obviously they've covered themselves with some kind of slime - probably a protection. Might even be a species nobody has seen before, but you can discern they are worms if you look very close.
