Dam.. I left my camera over in my mates on the weekend.. such a shame

I went out this morning and got me a pound of round steak, cheese and some french stick to make a philly cheese steak.. I had to try it... it looked disgusting and would have been an asset to this thread. however.. it was fucking delicious!

Too waxy, to gloppy, plasticy, or just weird looking. I'll start.

I don't even know what this is supposed to be, but I'm for damn sure not going to eat it.

How could anyone do this to pizza? Seriously! How hard is it to screw up pizza?

Even if you saute it and serve it on a nice place, it's still vomit.

What are those pink chunks?

doesn't really look all that bad to me. The top pic looks to be some sort of caserole with beef, pasta, peas and perhaps corn?

The second looks like a white pizza with mushrooms -- a crappy pic but the pizza doesn't look all that bad.

The third I have no idea....

The last looks like a shrimp or seafood ball with some sort of green spice -- perhaps cilantro or parsley.

Oh, I think so.

What we lack, though, is a "garnish" emoticon. A merry little sprig of parsley would be perfect.

Extra points for the palm frond presentation of what appear to be boiled rats.

As to the ox penis....can we see them prepared? Don't forget the useless parsley garnish!

You know what would make it more appetizing? A couple eyeballs floating in it.

OK, nothing is going to make that look good. Even the toast looks anemic.

I second that emotion. Palm fronds. What an audacious piece of culinary sleight-of-hand. Proper Bardesque!

Hai guize! I'm making lunch for everyone. Sometimes simplicity is the key.

But I did garnish with gherkins. EVERYBODY loves gherkins!

Again, top marks for presentation. Garnish aside, I especially like the way the cheese and the meat are carefully positioned in such a way that when the sandwich is constructed, there will be a significant area of plain bread and no filling. Enough space, in fact, to insert a couple of those dessicated looking Cheetos (if that's indeed what they are).

Bravissimo!

Everybody stop what you are doing right now and visit the Gallery of Regrettable Food!

LILEKS (James) Gallery of Regrettable Food

The 10PM cookbook is my favorite - but Meat! Meat! Meat! also makes me laugh until I pee, and the Jello books are also high-larious.

Go! Read! Especially you, Trout.
