Where are all the good men dead?

In the heart or in the head?

Awesome movie!

John Cusack is great. "Better Off Dead" is one of my all-time favorite movies of his.

And, I think it's a combination of both.

I've been singing this all day, annoying everyone I meet, and I just realised it's because I saw this thread title this morning.

It's really terrible isn't it? Nearly as bad as the other one, you know, the one with all the boys singing with glowing eyes. erm, Total Eclipse, that's the one.

Yup! They've been doing movies together since they've been doing movies. It's so cute. I love them both.

The song is a red herring

It was just me derailing, which is quite hard in a thread where most people don't know what's going on (including me).

All right mystery man. I want some answers. Let's recap. Spring of '84. Two young lovers with frightening natural chemistry. The girl sits in a seven-hundred dollar prom dress at her father's house waiting for the most romantic night of her young life. The boy never shows up, until now. So, what's the question?

"They all have husbands and wives and children and houses and dogs, and, you know, they've all made themselves a part of something and they can talk about what they do. What am I gonna say? 'I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork. How've you been?'" - Martin Blank about the prospect of attending his 10th high school reunion.

Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) was a clever and enjoyable flick.

On the other hand Cusack's latest War, Inc. (2008) isn't. At all. As one reviewer wrote "I was so hoping for something ... that would help me understand why this seeming can’t-miss satire misses." Cusack also seems to be aging into a a mid-life Bill Murray. Not that that's a bad thing, but we had one already.
