| Since thursday another 40 regions have come online - named sirux1 to sirux40 - All in a 4 x10 block a little south of the Anshe regons mentioned earlier this week (Anshe 1 to Anshe 15 have now gone - though they may have been moved and renamed to elsewhere in the grid).  Nothing special about these regions though they do look similar to the Anshe ones (i.e either empty or partially abandoned - they certainly are not new deliveries) ... however sirux20 does stand out for its map image alone

| This week the Grid increased in size by 131 regions, not the first week with an increase in Grid size since October, but it is the largest since then and also the first where both private estates and Linden owned increased . Total number of Main Grid regions is now 26739 which breaks down as 21353 private estates & 5386 Linden owned In total 303 new regions were added, with 172 regions removed (34 were renamed) A good proportion of the increase were the 40 Anshe regions (15 came and went this week) and the 40 Sirux regions I reported earlier this week. There were also another 12 Linden LabOatmeal regions joining the existing 4. | The Grid increased in size this week by a net 8 regions . It currently stands at 26747 regions of which 21362 are private estates and 5385 are Linden Lab owned. There are 226 brand new regions on the Grid and in total 376 were removed, 49 of these were renamed and 42 Ursula regions arrived for the first time and went within the week, as well as another 70 Ursula regions which reappeared this week and then dissappeared as well as at least 8 other Linden regions (See the Colosseum grouping) which did the same- This Linden Activity inflates the numbers going offline and partially hides a small but positive growth in the Main Grid. This week briefly, the Ursula continent was the largest it has ever been (though many of these temporary regions were marked as offline ) - This was its full extent last Thursday  Compared with its current extent  N.B. The Single Region (Arapaima) just to the west of Ursula is a Linden Lab "Safe Hub" and seems to be a cross between an Infohub and an orientation zone.It appeared last week and is currently set so that only Age Verified avatars can access it , as I found out when my survey bot got bumped, whilst I had no trouble entering. So far I've seen two lindens and a mole on it. Other large losses on the Grid were the 40 Sirux regions which appeared last week and the remaining 36 Zweite Welt regions (those renamed to ZW*). | Was playing around with slurl.com's map scrolling about and noticed this huge line of sim all with identicle builds off to the east of the mainland continents, they are all named "Landstore Pool" starting with 1 and going to 500.. there are a few missing but I would guess there are well over 450 sims sitting there. Was this always there and I just missed it? or this new?

| The Landpool has been there for at least 6 months or so (and maybe back to the beginning of the new landstore) . Basically its the pool of sims LL use to supply the Landstore and make the purchase of new regions seem "instaneous" . They don't physically appear on the Main Grid (and are not counted in my surveys). |

| Adult Access Testing Regions The 16 Oatmeal Regions (12 which came online 2 weeks ago) seem to be the Linden Adult access testing regions . Some Linden has conveniently built large prim letters to show the region access rating of each Oatmeal region :  Here is an in world view (Oatmeal 15 and 12 are currently open to the public)  Every region on the Grid when queried has an access type associated with this . Until recently this field has always returned three states - "PG", "Mature" or "Down" - "Down" is a special case when that region is offline (i.e. appears Red on the Map) . Two weeks ago a new setting appeared "42" . There are currently 7 regions on the Grid with this setting - the 6 Oatmeal regions marked as A in the first image above and the Arapaima Adult Safe Hub just to the West of Ursula I mentioned a few posts ago: Arapaima Safe Hub :  Currently the 153 Ursula regions are all marked as "Mature" and not this new "42" type which I assume is the Adult Rating There is one Mainland openspace, Odezia, which for a long time has had yet another access type ("min"). I assume this is a database error as there also used to be a now offline linden region with the same access type. The current viewer reads this type as "Unknown" , whilst the "42" is read as "Mature", though access is barred to NPIOF who are not Age verified. | Earlier this week Linden Lab brought online 20 regions fo the SL 6th Birthday celebrations , SL6B 1 to SL6B 20 (there were 19 for SL5B) . Also , as the classification of Adult Regions has started to go live I'm going to be reporting the breakdown of region classifications in my weekly surveys. The current situation is as follows Breakdown of current regions by Ownership and Classification:
The one Private Estate currently marked as Adult is Desperado (it wasn't marked as such 24 hours ago). A source very familiar with the SL viewer client tells me that the latest viewer code includes the Estate tools to mark a Region as Adult (Thanks Chalice  ) so it would be possible to do this by compiling your own client. |

My Mood:  | Very very interesting to see the balance/relation between PG and mature, both on estates and mainland. I'm eagerly awaiting to see how those numbers develop, but my presumption is that we will roughly get 15% PG, 70-80% mature, 5-15% adult on estates. Mainland, I don't know. Probably around 30% PG, 60-65% mature, 5% adult

| The Grid grew by 13 regions this week to 26760 regions in total. 21350 of these are private estates, 5410 are Linden owned. In total 160 new regions were added and 29 returned to the grid whilst 181 were removed (of which 36 were renamed and 5 came and went since the last report) Private estates declined by 12 whilst Linden owned increased by 25. 5 of these were due to my bookkeeping, i.e. 5 old regions which I have now correctly identified as being Linden owned which I had previously marked as private estate. The biggest block coming on line this week were the 20 SL6B regions in preparation of SL's 6th birthday celebrations later this summer. Tiger tail estates came on line with a 9 region area (The Big Muddy etc) The largest two estate groups of regions which went off line this week were the 7 region Pacific Shores estate and the 8 Sakura estate regions (which had come back online since their first removal 3 weeks ago). | Total number of Main Grid regions is now 26774 ( 21360 private estates & 5414 Linden owned) This is a net increase of 14 regions in the week, 10 private estates and 4 Linden regions. The small net growth hides a lot more activity , with Ursula expanding by 143 regions before contracting back to 153 regions as it was last week. This was Ursula at its maximum extent of 296 regions this Monday:  173 new regions were added and 48 returned to the grid, with 352 regions removed (53 were renamed and 38 came and went since the last report with 111 making a temporary return) 4 New Linden regions appeared by the Linden Estate Services regions: Moonbase,Baronial Castle, The Theatre and The Conference Center. Currently not available within the Land Store (unlike the 4 example islands due south of each) these seem like examples of themed content that LL plans on making available. The first two have the same map images as the Mos Ainsley and Castle Valeria regions. | A net loss of 21 regions this week. Total number of Main Grid regions is now 26753. Private estates had a net drop of 17, bringing the current total to 21343 whilst 4 Linden owned went offline ,leaving 5410. 153 new regions were added and 25 returned to the grid, with 203 regions removed (44 were renamed and 1 came and went since last report with 4 making a temporary return). The 4 Linden regions disappearing are the Example Land regions which appeared last week (Moonbase, Baronial Castle, The Theatre and The Conference Center) . No major groups of estates came online or went offline this week and the maturity rating of regions remained very static. | Total number of Main Grid regions is now 26728 ( 21311 private estates & 5417 Linden owned) which is a net loss of 25 regions since last week 175 new regions were added and 27 returned to the grid, with 228 regions removed (47 were renamed and 3 came and went since last report with 2 making a temporary return) There were 4 new Linden Land Expo regions added (the other 3 "New" regions were really old Linden regions which had previously been marked as private estates). Two small to medium sized estates showed significant losses with the MLBR estate contracting by 1/3rd to 18 regions . For this weeks report I was going to tour around and take some snaps of the more interesting new regions ... but TP's are down for me at the moment so that will have to wait for another time.
