Not to mention the Credit Card companies would stop any payments to that operation once they learned it was used for Gambling.

You're undoubtably correct. That was heavily hinted to me by a few powers that be.

What's funny about that is my business partner took Phillip's slot (it was open source) and adapted it to the Z$ system. We had it running for the duration.

Aren't you done posting here now? What else do you really have to offer?

Here's a hint, if you want to stay at SLU, and bygones being bygones, get an avatar, post a new thread in the New Users forum, and introduce yourself. Bridge out beyond this one thread that has reached its rightful conclusion.

Or you could share what it was LL told you that resulted in you closing shop.

According to Socrates Linden at last Saturday's G-team meeting, the "beans" thing was still being examined. The driving force behind the "beans" is both a friend and customer of my other games. We've talked a little about the arrangement. Some of his RL work involves setting up similar sweepstakes systems in brick & mortar locations where gambling is otherwise illegal. I don't fully understand it so I won't pretend to explain it. Apparently, there is a lot of red-tape involved.

SLAPNUTS!

ok... I had to get that out of my system. I never actually chatted with him until yesterday. I honestly expected a little weirdness that never materialized. Just a guy with a sense of humor was all.

I didn't know you owned the place. Or does the fact that you have so little life that you managed to post 15 times a day here, 365 days a year for several years give you squatter's rights?

Who said LL told me anything? Care to share what led you that conclusion?

(And spare me the response unless you'd like more than just you in trouble.)

Hey Aargle, I've defended you a few times here (by saying it is LL's fault for giving you false hope, etc), but Joshua's right. You've got almost 40 posts now. Join us, let us get to know you. Perhaps your experience could help future users. No reason to just live in this thread. We're all pretty nice folks, you just got a rough reception, because we've seen this game before. We know how this movie ends. Insert any other analogies you want here.

Introduce yourself. Hang out. GET AN AVATAR! Give it a try. I'm sure if you're smart enough to get a casino thingie going you could do a lot more cool things for SL too. Probably a lot of positive things. Join us! We only bite when we think we're getting played, and you, my friend, made us feel like we were getting played. We never stand for that.

That doesn't mean you won't be accepted. Ask Tenshi. She's one of our good friends now, and once, she was the target of our ire. She came in, addressed the issues, and bam - she's our starting shortstop.

Seriously, you're clearly a smart enough guy, try commenting and giving some insight on other threads, and share your ideas. That's what SLU is all about, not ongoing flame wars.

Regards,

-Flip

Yes, generally speaking both postcount comments and/or "you have no life" comments are indicative of an idiot, but two in one post and you must dribble down your shirt when you eat solid foods.

It was a meaningless gesture though. He's not interested in being a part of the community.

Oh and I'm smart enough to derive that someone who came to a third party forum with alts and friends to defend himself stalwartly in doing no wrong, in operating a legitimate business, in being A-OK is not going to suddenly remove said business overnight without comment.

So that's how I know you were told to bugger off, troublemaker.

And I have trolled you and fought with you, but I agree with Flip.

What is done is done where the $Z is concerned. The pieces will have to be picked up but the policy is evidently decided.

You have a hell of a sense of humor.. kudos for saying SLAPNUTS.

Consider hanging out around SLU.

I even got you an avatar.

I don't know

Some people are probably afraid they will get banned for gambling.

Movies involving the governor of California notwithstanding, I don't think you can get a man pregnant.

Sapphire Moon is in operation.

There were people there this time. Most of the Star Boxes that you play for converting the Sapphire money into Lindens is in the space station area. I think there are about 3-4 of these machines total and LL needs to also remove their "Glow" effect privileges.

So haven't they been AR'd ?

or is this another case of Zara and the G-ang not being able to do the 1+1=2 thing?

Maybe Poker counts as a game of skill.

Meh.. a couple calls to the credit card companies may get LL off their ass. Bypass the whole AR system.. not like they are going to act on it.

Even though poker has a skill element to it there is a large portion of chance. Regardless of what poker players will tell you poker is still gambling.
