What's funny about that is my business partner took Phillip's slot (it was open source) and adapted it to the Z$ system. We had it running for the duration.

According to Socrates Linden at last Saturday's G-team meeting, the "beans" thing was still being examined. The driving force behind the "beans" is both a friend and customer of my other games. We've talked a little about the arrangement. Some of his RL work involves setting up similar sweepstakes systems in brick & mortar locations where gambling is otherwise illegal. I don't fully understand it so I won't pretend to explain it. Apparently, there is a lot of red-tape involved.

ok... I had to get that out of my system. I never actually chatted with him until yesterday. I honestly expected a little weirdness that never materialized. Just a guy with a sense of humor was all.

Hey Aargle, I've defended you a few times here (by saying it is LL's fault for giving you false hope, etc), but Joshua's right. You've got almost 40 posts now. Join us, let us get to know you. Perhaps your experience could help future users. No reason to just live in this thread. We're all pretty nice folks, you just got a rough reception, because we've seen this game before. We know how this movie ends. Insert any other analogies you want here.

Introduce yourself. Hang out. GET AN AVATAR! Give it a try. I'm sure if you're smart enough to get a casino thingie going you could do a lot more cool things for SL too. Probably a lot of positive things. Join us! We only bite when we think we're getting played, and you, my friend, made us feel like we were getting played. We never stand for that.

That doesn't mean you won't be accepted. Ask Tenshi. She's one of our good friends now, and once, she was the target of our ire. She came in, addressed the issues, and bam - she's our starting shortstop.

Seriously, you're clearly a smart enough guy, try commenting and giving some insight on other threads, and share your ideas. That's what SLU is all about, not ongoing flame wars.

Sapphire Moon is in operation.

There were people there this time. Most of the Star Boxes that you play for converting the Sapphire money into Lindens is in the space station area. I think there are about 3-4 of these machines total and LL needs to also remove their "Glow" effect privileges.

Even though poker has a skill element to it there is a large portion of chance. Regardless of what poker players will tell you poker is still gambling.
