Nobody Cares! (TV and Film Edition)

Tonight's season finale of the ABC-cancelled-TBS-renewed Cougar Town reminded me of why I love the show so much, and how stupid ABC is. Yay TBS!

Also, Jon Stewart's hiatus return tonight with guest Michelle Obama was epic. Looking forward to watching the Tivoed new season premiere of Tosh.0.

I know not "Cougar Town," but entirely agree about Stewart's first show back---the first segment, about Roger Ailes' apparent directive to Fox News on-air 'talent' to refer to Jon as "a socialist" is indeed epic. (A text account is here: Jon Stewart Skewers Fox News, Roger Ailes Over Socialism Accusations (VIDEO) )

Avengers Blu-ray preorders listed, including massive 10-disc Marvel Cinematic Universe set - Engadget

It'll cost $153.

No thanks but I already have all of those, except for The Avengers movie.

I saw Battleship last night. It was a surprisingly good movie, and the obligatory board game tie-in scene managed to actually make a bit of sense. I was pleasantly astonished.

Movie also gave me a new appreciation of chicken burritos.

Working through the third season of Castle. What an awesome show, Nathan Fillion is great and Stana Katic is attractive as all hell.

They've lampshaded their relationship, and the characters have basically done everything but acknowledge it. Why the hell must I continue to be teased?

I started watching both Farscape and Battlestar Galatica on Netflix the last few weeks. I started watching one episode of each a day but now I'm more into Battlestar Galatica. Already through most of season two.

Interesting that you brought those two up together. BSG starts off strong but falls apart later on (IMO of course) whereas Farscape's first season is a little rocky but once it hits its stride in the second it goes nowhere but up.

I think I lost all faith in BSG when

I hope he doesn't ruin this movie. It's based on a series of books I read called the Jack Reacher series. The main character in the book is 6'5" and Tom Cruise is about 5'7" and probably weighs 80 or more pounds less.

I'm actually pleased about this. I think the show's pretty well run its course.
