The trailer has a great look that reflects the text, but I've still got some potential doubts about this that are kind of spoilery sooo...

Fun Facts 'bout Tigars #8. When several tigers are present at a kill, the males will often wait for females and cubs to eat first, unlike lions, which do the opposite. Tigers rarely argue or fight over a kill and simply wait turns.

That one is related to it, by the same author. Annihilation starts off what's called The Southern Reach trilogy. (Authority is #2, and Acceptance is #3.)

Finally caught up with the Netflix Defenders shows.

The Defenders made me really want another season of Jessica Jones and I admit that I kind of got all teary at the end for spoiler free reasons obvious to anyone who has watched it.

Also I believe S2 of JJ is in the works so yay.

They have confirmed plans for JJ Season 2, Luke Cage Season 2 (both 2018), and DareDevil Season 3. Punisher will be out later this year.

Having just seen Spiderman Homecoming (we have no movie theaters around here that are still theaters), they should run into Peter Parker at some point.

I really wish they would. Even if it's just Daredevil.

I've been watching Halt And Catch Fire since its first season. It's two episodes away from the series finale - not must see TV, I wouldn't recommend seeking it out. But I do have to admit, this last episode brought a tear to my eye.

Very interesting, if you're unfamiliar with how cinematography translates to animation.

(And worth bearing in mind, where trolls try to claim photography doesn't exist in virtual worlds)

So, the opening weekend for Blade Runner 2049 wound up about 3x that of MLP:TM.

Not so bad a difference. ^_^

(I've only seen MLP so far, and neither cinematically. I'd like to for both, though, the local fleapit's a very dull multiplex - not the kind of place that /invites/ me, so much as acts as gatekeeper. To be fair, once you've experienced the Castro Theatre, other cinemas have a bit of a time coming close =:)

My preorder for MLP remains on iTunes. I'll be enjoying that plenty more times. ^_^

So I've been trying to watch the first season of Legends of Tomorrow, and I'm about 2/3rd of the way through.

I actually feel dumber, somehow.

I think of it as a Doctor Who/DC Universe comedy crossover.

I mean it has Rory Williams in a long trench coat, driving a sentient time ship, and second-string DC characters. Don't take it seriously. And *really* don't pay attention to the historical errors.

Now I am worried. I have been working through these DC shows lately, fine she'd S2 of Arrow and just started Flash. I plan to get to Legends and Supergirl.

Don't know who watches Jeopardy regularly, but this happened yesterday:

New York Today: Farewell to a ‘Jeopardy!’ Favorite | NYTimes

I'd been following him on the show the last nearly three weeks (except this past Monday through Wednesday. I missed those). His run was impressive, he added a level of goofiness to the show, and he still made off with nearly a half million dollars!

The problem isn't taking it seriously, it's wanting to bang my head against a wall while watching plot lines unravel over multiple timelines.

At least they don't suffer as much from the "let's all gather together so I can explain/apologize/get fuzzy over something very similar to the last 10 times we did this" moments that drove me mad with The Flash.

That awkward moment when you realize Ray/The Atom is Todd Ingram

You should. It's one of my favorites from recent years. There so many great layers to everything, the effects are really great, just everything about it top notch. It feels a little rushed in the later half though.

On a side note, Evil Ex 4 is the best fight.
