Listen to what she was saying while pulling the finger its not even bleeped. Personally i don't watch much TV but after watching the video on youtube it made me feel sick i want to throw up. Its disgusting what is classed as entertainment in these days.

It's not that - it was the amount of outrage you expressed at something so minor. You said it made you sick and want to throw up. What M.I.A. did was stupid, but beyond that, rather silly and certainly not something to be nauseated over.

I remember being able to do the George Carlin dirty words routine at 12. Not that my parents knew.

If anything, I think that as a parent -if the kids even noticed, which I bet 9 out of 10 didn't- I would use it as a teaching tool. "See what happens when you do outrageous things to get attention? People think you're an idiot."

I am highly amused that the videos of the event are censored it's all way too much like seeing Janet Jackson's nipple - in other words, if this happened anywhere else, nobody would even blink let alone cause a controversy about it.
Are people worried that her finger may look like a penis so they have to censor it?

Why was this in any way shocking? All the news broadcasts over here were reporting not on the breast, but on the American public's reaction to seeing it, with a massive amount of amusement at how freaked out people were
