Fave 70's Shows (You Knew This Was Coming)

I think we have to admit that a lot of the shows on the 60's and 80's lists are actually 70's shows, because that's when they really took off.

Hawaii Five-0, for instance, is really a 70's show. Same goes for Mannix. And Wonder Woman really is a 70's show, too.

Is there an aversion to 70's shows because so many of them have been made into bad '90s movies?

I do note that alot of the 70's shows I enjoyed as a kid don't really bear much scrutiny now. I learned that the hard way when I brought back a Space:1999 box set for viewing at home.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Well, it is odd nobody mentioned the Bionic shows yet.

Possibly one of the funniest things I ever saw on TV was an episode of Maude where some old dude in a leisure suit was deluded into thinking he was Steve Austin and he ran onto the set in slow motion complete with Steve Austin music, and proceeded to smash up an industrial park maquette sitting on a table.

From that list it looks like about the only time you turned on the set was on Saturday mornings. LoL

Kung Fu

The Carrol Bernet Show

Mary Tylor Moore Show

The Dukes of Hazard

The Rockford Files

Soap (This had to have been one the funniest shows of all time IMHO)

Oh yeah, and

When I was a kid I didn't see it, but justt his past year I caight this on cable. It was one of the most unbelievably pro drug and gay shows I've ever seen. Considering how things are now, I can't believe a lot of this got by for a kid's show back then.

Take for instance the general show itself. Sooo druggy hippy

And some of the shorts

Well there are a lot of "roughhousing" scenes between the guys and the kid ... and one where a Musketerr and the kid ride double babreback on a horse ... geez, just take my word for it, the religious hysteria folks would lose their minds if this played on Saturday morning today.

Then there's Danger Island

Danger Island .. Danger Island could have been called Hard Gay Island with a side helping of Pedo. There's just too much material to go around. Really, just go to youtube and watch a few episodes.
