If there is anyone else out there that is a fan of this show (I'm sure there is, since it is cable's highest rated program), there was a two part bonus episode of the Closer that just aired sometime in December. I completely missed it, but thanks to Amazon, they were downloaded to my Tivo. I just finished watching the two episodes back to back, and they were excellent - probably the best of the season. They are called Next of Kin Part I and Part II.

They were a nice little Christmas gift - I really enjoyed them. What has always appealed to me about the show is the exploration of the characters instead of it just being a standard crime procedural. Normally I hate them (Law and Order, CSI, etc..) but I love the Closer. I did not discover it until near the end of season 3.

I bought all of the episodes from iTunes and Amazon (I switched to Amazon once they offered Tivo downloads), and watched them pretty much back to back over a few weeks. I was disappointed when I realized I was caught up to the season finale, so these new episodes were a nice surprise. Now I want more again, damnit.
