Jake Gyllenhaal stole the role this guy was born for

Come on guys he's an actual fucking Prince of Persia

WHYYYYY DID YOU CHOOSE THE GYLLENHAAAALL

Okay now I'll watch the trailer, I am bracing for gorgeous environments and costumes, yum.

Edit: Okay, yes it looks gorgeous. But Gyllenhaal looks like a guy they randomly pulled from a party and put in the costume, he doesn't look like he fits in at all. I admit my bias but I think I have the right to have a grudge

Another edit: I will definitely admit that given the other insultingly absurd considerations for the leading man, Gyllenhaal was the best of that bunch...

Looks like it might be pretty good, but couldn't they find any actual Persians?

Would've been a good role for a younger Alexander Siddig. But I guess there's no way that Disney would go with anyone other than a guaranteed box-office actor (i.e. NOT PERSIAN).

yay prince of racebending.

We'll just make everyone look really dirty in this movie, and maybe the audience wont notice the difference !

almost as bad as Avatar: The Last Racebender. or that DBZ movie, or the upcoming movie "The Weapon".

White people sell more movies than brown people !

I don't mind Jake...he's a fantastic actor, and he pulls it off just fine it seems.

Looks like some groovy CGI goodness and fun choreography.
