I'm kind of wary after seasons two and three (you suck, Lilah!), but I'll try to watch.

I loved the first two seasons. The 3rd was kind of meh for me. This season I'm starting to feel some of the excitement again for the series. And John Lithgow as a hard core serial killer can result in nothing but WIN in in my opinion.

Season 2 was our least favorite, and we could only watch it a second time because we kept repeating a mantra:








Lilah sucks


But we really enjoyed Season 3, the whole thing with Miguel was fresh and interesting and even though the ending seemed rushed, it was satisfying.

Yeah, the ending was my big problem with Season 3. It's like they realized, whoops, we've only got one episode left to wrap things up.

Although he's been known more recently for his comedic roles, Lithgow has definitely done some darker stuff in his career. I highly recommend the rather freaky Brian de Palma film Raising Cain.

Yep, I think so. He was rushing pretty much.

I liked the little parody of the opening credits they did. While I was watching the real opening credits, I actually thought: "That's a single man's morning ritual. They need to remake that."

John Lithgow is inspired. I'll be watching just for him, honestly. Lilah makes it almost unbearable.

It always strikes me as odd that in the sequence the credits are shown, he seems to prepare, then eat, one thing at a time when he's making breakfast. Cook ham, then eat ham. Cook egg, then eat egg. Squeeze orange, then drink orange juice.

Haha yes! I loved that, me and the man were giggling the whole way through.

I don't know if they need to remake it completely, yes it's a single man's ritual but it illustrates so well the violence in things we deal with every day that don't make us think. Not sure how they'd fit the kids and Rita in.

Yes. But, to help you get through it... I will give you hope. She is not in season 3.

Rita's kind of annoying, too, but not in the way that Lilah was. Dexter just really needs to learn to tell her no.

She's okay, I don't flinch and then suddenly have an urge to use foul language when Rita comes on screen (unlike some people*cough*). She's a believable character and I can see where she comes from, even though I have nothing to relate to her about.

I actually liked Lila more than I did Miguel. Miguel was scary. So was Sgt Doakes. Lila was just fucking bonkers, and you knew he was gonna take care of her in that special Dexter way.

I keep debating whether Julie Benz (Rita) has had a facelift. Last year she started looking a little hotter as the season went on and I thought it was maybe implants or working out. This year she definitely looks sleeker in the face.

And Lithgow? Oh wow, maybe my favoritest bad guy of all the Dexter bad guys. Better even than Rudy.

I've been watching Dexter since the very first premiere episode, and never knew he was married to Jennifer Carpenter until I was drooling over some of the preseason hype this year.

Made me feel differently last night when she was in bed kissing her boyfriend while Rita was telling Dexter she wanted sex. I know, I know, it's acting, but how strange would it be to come home and ask about each other's day?
