Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman

Oh the drama. Loretta is pregnant. She and Charles are traveling to Nashville so she can become a superstar. Unfortunately they crash into a car full of nuns and she is just coming out of it in the hospital. Their doctor says the baby is ok but unfortunately he got the results mixed up. Mrs. Ferguson has the baby and Loretta just had a fybroid tumour. As she awakes she has a wish.

"When I become a superstar and the money all starts to roll in that we shouldn't spend it all on ourselves. We should give it to other people and spend it on charity. I got this real good idea. We should open a refuge for unwed country western singers. I can just see the refuge now. I can just see all these little teenage pregnant girls with their teenage stomachs all pooching out singing in four part harmony. I don't know who your Daddy is but all the men I know are sweet."

I remember my mom watching that show when I was a kid!

I only remember the Carol Burnett spoofs.
