I guess the one I miss the most would be Farscape.

The cancellation that pissed me off the most was the mini-series Invasion. Great acting and can not miss story lines. They canceled after only maybe 3 episodes on SyFy? Fortunately it was available on XBox 360.

Innocently whistles as I fire up my 15 barr, pump driven, dual heating block, expresso machine with custom made steam nozzle that makes micro-foam, while grinding my local roasted Kenya AA/Jamaican Blue Mountain blend in a rotary burr grinder. All while pouring the home made bourbon vanilla simple syrup and 1-4 blend of 1/2&1/2 and whole milk in the frothing pitcher

No, you didn't. It's been discussed a lot over various SG forums, but the only answer for now as to what it is comes from the show's consulting producer and writer Joe Mallozzi, who will only say it was not a shuttle.

A mystery!

On the caffeine thing... I don't think caffeine withdrawal would cause one to pop like Rush did, but I suspect that it combined with a nicotine addiction, stress, and going for so long without sleep might do it. In any case, it made for a really good over the top acting moment for Carlyle .

I've been trying to come up with more eloquent words to convey just how bad this last episode sucked, but I can't.

The only redeeming parts were the beauty of them flying above the surface of the sun, and that flying through the sun is how the ship recharged itself.

Oh c'mon.. seriously.. They're on an unplanned voyage, short of rations, air, no hope of rescue, etc.. they only have 12 hours to decide if a planet is hospitiable, before the "thing they're on" moves on. 12 hours to investigate, see if it's a survivable situation, grab everything they think they'll need, and go. They even have the exact same sort of tension they had on Space 1999 with Comissioner Simmons (who only appeared in the pilot and one other episode). "We should make the best of our situation and find a new home" vs "We should be looking for a way to GET HOME".

I personally hope they ditch the 12 hour clock soon.. it's too transparent a gimmick in this day and age, especially after years of "Sliders" (we only have 5 minutes til the next portal, and Quinn is trapped by the alien succubi, and HE has the timer!!)

PS. anyone notice that there's no DHD's on these new gates? Wanna bet that the "who has the pda thinger? time is running out!" plot complication comes up a few times?

Winter made an interesting observation. While watching last night's episode, I could not help but think that it reminded me a lot of this 1999 episode.

I love the ship but I hope the SGU writers actually come up with something for the rest of the cast to do.

The ship was gorgeous - flying into the star. But, my god, the writers cram more trite drama into EVERY sentence than an entire episode of Bold and the Beautiful.

Less is more guys, less is more!!

I just watched the first 5 (or was it 4?) episodes back to back so I feel a bit acidy.
