Meh. I may never read another vampire story again. Anita Blake's "must fuck every 10 pages" and Twilight's ejaculating rainbows are two extremes that make me shudder.

'Course, I'm reading Sookie Stackhouse 'n watching True Blood, so who am I to talk?

Oh, come on. Not everything has to be Jane fucking Austen. No, this stuff isn't on a par with Anne Rice, but jebus, some people can't just accept a little lowbrow entertainment once in a while.

I enjoyed Twilight and Full Moon. The third book, Eclipse, awaits me beneath our Christmas tree. (Yeah, she's makin' me wait.) No, they're not great literature, but hey, I enjoy a Spider-Man comic now and again, too. I even like Stephen King.

We saw the film a few weeks ago. Beautiful cinematography and what awesome forests! No, it wasn't Citizen Kane but neither was it Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. In the immortal words of Stan Lee, 'nuff said!

Oh, and Io, how many times did you post in this thread? OK, we get it. You don't like the Twilight series. Jeez, you're as bad as some of the anti-WoW people.

Yeah, but I mean, c'mon.

Srsly. If you can't laugh at that, you're as emo as Ed. I said I had fun with the movie, but making fun of vampires that sparkle like bubbly champagne only adds to the merriment.

Are you guys probably yes already uh huh fully aware Anne Rice has become a devout Christian as of late?

Srsly. I could NOT make this title up:

She is someone who's always grappled with her religion and upbringing, and had several health scares and lost her husband, which drove her back to that as it was comforting. I've never liked her writing and dislike her as much as a person (having worked for her for some time), but I can't make fun of her for that much as it's the easy joke.

Heh. I love Harry Potter, Lemony Snicket, and just recently read The Lightning Thief and several of the Artemis Fowl series.

<Applies Edward sparkle gel all over himself>

I did think the first book was lightweight, but the second, Full Moon, was somewhat better. That would be due to the plot twist with the...

...but no, that would be a spoiler.

Waiting til Christmas for the third book, Eclipse.

Lol, I took my kids and the Twilight Fan in the house, P2, to see this movie a few weeks ago. I couldn't stop laughing, two of my kids were dazzled, and my 10 and 13 yr olds were "meh.".

The 16 yo was in love with Edward for about four hours. Now she just thinks he's cool, Ahh, young love.

Best part of the movie experience, I'll admit, was when the guy sitting a couple seats down from Sans said, "He SPARKLES!"

ooooooo well mmmmmmm i'm afraid i'm one of those mad fan girls or well grown woman lol.

I loved the books and loved the movies, i'm partly in love with Edward and Robert Pattinson lol. Have you people seen him i mean come on he's hot the only other person i've ever seen hotter than him is Jenson Ackles and he is so drool worthy. They are both so much better than Brad or any of the other A list celebs.

You guys aswell do realise they are planning a sequal movie it was that huge lol. Oh and they are expecting it too do just as good as Harry Potter or even better lol.

Oh and for those of us who did like it what was your fave scene?

Mine was the baseball scene it was done brilliantly, i loved the music in the background *giggle* Suppermassive Black Hole is now my ring tone lol.
