When Russell T Davies announced he was quitting earlier in the year he said he would like to see Russell Tovey as the next Dr. Here is a link to the story....

Russell Tovey next Doctor?

I thought he was excellent in "The History Boys" - one of my fave films.

I love Russell Tovey, and he's a great actor, but I feel I need to see him in more roles before deciding whether he'd make a good Doctor.

He was very cute in Voyage of the Damned.

..but I have a thing about guys with big ears.

Yeah, I read about it. Surprisingly I did so on /b/ - and don't ask why...lol - but anyhow: I'll miss him, he was a good Doctor and will be missed, at least by me. But it might be the right step. and after all, the grand "Bad Wolf" Cyclus, which kinda definded Tennants stint as doctor is over, so after 4 Specials to say goodbye, it might be the right thing to do.

As for the new Doctor. I'd mark out for Hugh Laurie.

And then, please, pretty please Rowan Atkinson as The Master and only for one Episode Tony Robinson as Companion...

Doctor: Oh god...now the Master somehow allied with the Daleks again, and the Earth is about to be destroyed again. How could it get any worse?

Baldr...uhm Companion: I have a cunning plan...

Doctor: Ah, yes....

Cut to the Masters Ship

Master: Well, Tally-ho pip-pip and Davros' your uncle, Let's go!

I think I'd pay for it...I just hope it's funnier on screen than written out by me...

You'll have to tell us who it is Alfie, the face is familiar but the name is just not coming. Then we can hunt him down and stalk him day and night
