My Own Worst Enemy

Did anyone else watch this show on Monday night? I actually only watched it because Prison Break wasn't on, and now I'm thinking that something is going to have to DVR'd every Monday because I liked this show.

I've always liked Christian Slater and he makes this show. I hope it survives because I want to know why Edward decided to volunteer for this program, why Henry can't just be deleted, and many others.

If you watched it, what did you think?

God, I had such a crush on him in my late teens/early 20s...then he went batshit insane in typical "I can't deal with my fame!" Hollywood style and the crush shriveled and died.

Erm, I didn't watch the show though...I was unconscious from migraine medication most of Monday.

The pilot wasn't actually all that good, but I like slater, and the show has alot of potential, so I'll watch a few more and see how it goes. Part of my problem might be that Burn Notice is a really hard act to follow as far as spy tv goes. I think it might have completely ruined everything else in the genre for me.

I liked last night's episode. I think they crowded too much into the pilot. It might have been better if Henry hadn't "discovered" Edward so early in the series, but I'm hoping the reasons for that are revealed.

I never saw Burn Notice, but am assuming it was better than MOWE.

I watched a few episodes of Burn Notice and really didn't care for it.

I just finished season 1 a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen season 2 yet. Season 1 was hilarious. I was laughing really really hard pretty much every episode, and I really liked the writing, acting, etc. IMO, one of the best shows on TV in the last five years or so.

Granted, I'm also one of the first people to admit my taste is probably not indicative of mainstream, so your mileage may vary, but I've been subjecting everyone I know to it, and so far the responses have been positive.

Oddly, it was mildly entertaining. Slater has gotten better with age both in looks and acting.

I have found that I've become a Fox watcher. There's something on Fox that I watch just about every night, excluding weekends.

I probably never would have watched My Own Worst Enemy at all if Prison Break had been on last week. We always DVR that because sitting down to watch TV is not successful for me until after about 9:30. Up until then, the kids seem to control the TV. And my husband and I are usually busy with all the home stuff that needs to get done.

I've been catching some stuff on hulu, etc. which is weird for me as it makes this television season the first in seven years or so that I'm watching current shows. I'm not sure I like the trend since I'm watching alot more TV, which defeats the entire point of not getting cable in the first place.

Watched the second episode last night. I'll probably do one more because I really like Slater, but so far I'm just not impressed. If nothing else the mystical/magical reason that the personalities seem to always be on the wrong schedule irks me. I get that it lets the writers do their thing, but it just seems unlikely that if the switch goes on an off randomly that it would work out just right for maximum mayhem like that.
