V was perfect - they will screw up a remake! I totally fancied Diana - hottest lizard in the universe.

I liked the first V miniseries. The second one, without Kenneth Johnson was just ok. The weekly series was watered down to Buck Rogers grade cheezyness. NBC really should have stopped after the second miniseries.

random V memory:

lying on a couch in my friends house who was having a party, absolutely pissed after drinking way too much Baileys () kissing a bloke called Paul Evans who'd had a punch up with someone and his nose was bleeding ( again). V was on the tv in the background, it was a very surreal moment. I remember trying to follow it, while this guy with a bleeding nose was trying his best to distract me.

I would also like to point out that there is no way the special effects could be improved upon

Oh and is it weird to find Diana sexy in this scene?

btw, apparently V was written as a miniseries about the rise of the Nazis in Germany and the persecution that followed, but the TV company it was written for suddenly said "Hey, Sci-fi is popular, make it about aliens" so they rewrote it with the aliens. Obviously it keeps most of the Nazi stuff right down to the Visitors' logo.

Actually, I did like V. But I was 21 ... young .... stupid ... and stoned most of the time ... back when a nickel bag cost .. wait for it ... 5 bucks! And would last a weekend! And the only other sci fi shows were Buck Rogers and Battlestar Gallatica .. the stupid one.

What the hell did I know?

Oh, the humanity.
But you knew those shows were cheesey and stupid going in, that's why they were fun. Now they will just go and make it more stupider, without adding any fun.

That definitely was when the show Jumped The Lizard.
