True Blood, can't wait

Alright, I admit my dorkery. I can't wait to see what Alan Ball (Six Feet Under guy) and HBO do with True Blood, their new series on things undeadly. Starts Sunday. Can't wait.

I saw the 15-minute promo mockumentary HBO did on vampire rights a few weeks back.

HBO's slipped a little since their string of hit series stopped. I loved Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Carnivale, and Deadwood. I was less enthralled with Entourage, John from Cincinnati, Big Love, or the Wire, but those first four shows more than made up for everything else.

I have a feeling that, with Alan ball (Six Feet Under) behind the wheel, this one's going to be every bit as good as their best.

I'm with you - cannot WAIT. I'll probably burn the shows on DVD so I can rewatch during offseason

Oh yeah, Rome was awesome

Six Feet Under was the best, though. Especially the final episode. Won't spoil it for you, Ayu, but I hope you get to see it sometime.

I really enjoyed Generation Kill. I never saw Six Feet Under. big Love was ok Bunnie was into it. I didn't watch Deadwood and the Sopranos was not my thing.

True Blood looks like a cheesefest. I enjoy Vampire mythology but unless they were writing a comedy the premise is ridiculous and the previews make my eyes roll involuntarily.

I read those books, which may or may not mean the HBO series will cause me to grit my teeth in annoyance.

I had someone tell me in RL once they were a vampire and then proceeded to layout their entire lineage. I guess that was supposed to impress me straight or something I'm not sure what his angle was. I never saw that guy again it was weird.

It was supposed to have started last year but was delayed because of the writers strike last year

IT'S STARTING IN 45 MINUTES!

Meanwhile they're showing their interviews with allegedly real vampires.

Stephen Moyer (Bill the vampire) is going to be a sex god, now, as well. He's also British.

Kill and I watched it over the phone together (shush). Said he was eerily reminiscent of a certain online persona

Yeah, good potential here. Looking forward to see how it develops
