I didn't know about the remake - after looking at trailers and reviews it's now very much on my watch list. From what I've seen, though, while the remake is more true to the original work, Soderberg's version is more romantic and focuses more on the "what if you could go back?" angle while Tarkovsky's is more "Ooooh deep thoughts" - but more vulnerable to r/l distractions and short attention spans.

Heavy Metal - Remember finding it in my fathers movie collection when I was young and watching it without permission. So trippy and fun.

Princess Bride - Because obviously.

Moulin Rouge - Just sat stunned and watched this one. Loved the sets and visuals.

Thirteen - I see a lot of reminders of my childhood in that movie.

Anything with Vin Diesel - Because I'm allowed to have a crush when I'm an adult.

Wonder Woman - Really amazingly done movie.

There is also A Chinese Ghost Story, it's not at all an horror movie, it is a love story full of humor.

Tom Hiddleson and Tilda Swinton as vampires, according to Jim Jarmush.

Siberiade is a movie by Andreď Konchalovsky (who has also made Maria's Lovers later), as the title says the action is in Siberia, it starts from the Russian revolution to when they started extracting oil in Siberia. It has been a russian propaganda movie, but at the same time it was critical of communism.

It lasts 275 minutes but is really worth watching.

Thread Title of the Week
I tend to forget the names of movies even if I like them

- The train Robbery (Buster Keaton)
- Modern Times (Chaplin)
- Bananas ( I'm not sure I could still enjoy it today; but at the time it was brilliant)
- Either Duck Soup or Night at the Opera
- Brazil
- Harold and Maude
- 3 Women
- Prick up your Ears
- dark comedy about what's his name - (the director of Plan 9 from Outer space)
- The Singing Detective (technically television but extraordinary television)
- Vietnam Movie (can't remember the name)
- country music version of Ulysses (can't remember title)

probably missing something
