OMFG DOCTOR WHO FTW!

Russel T. Davies steps down.

Steven Moffat steps forward.

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Doctor Who guru Davies steps down

We must wait until 2010 but zOMG, this is bloody great news.

Moffat wrote all my favourite episodes since DW was revived: The Empty Child ("are you my mummy?"), The Girl in the Fireplace, Blink, etc. YAY!

Anyway, toodle-pip!

Girl in the Fireplace was possibly the best episode of the lot.

"Girl in the Fireplace" and "Blink" are indeed not only maybe the best episodes in the new Series to this day, but I'm gonna take a stand, and say they might belong to the best I've seen on TV in general for quite a while.

So yes, that is good news.

Aw, thanks Tyche.

I'm in sniper mode for a while, but I'm still reading now and then.

That was really nice of you.

It's got to be a good thing, this current series isn't very good - the sooner Catherine Tate goes the better. My son (he's 5) loves it but I just can't here her talk without thinking "Am I bovvered"

Plus the wasp episode (the one with Agatha Cristie) was probably the most ridiculous, tenuous story to get a famous person into an episode (something they like to do every series) I've seen.

But then, I still think that Tom Baker should be the Dr
