My Mood: | question about Nvidia 8800 GT Guys: Just to preface I have already e-mailed EVGA's head Tech in germany as well as spoken with two of their US based CS Techs and have received conflicting information. I have the 8800GT and installed it this weekend along with my new Corsair 750 W power supply (he he he!) The 8800 GT comes with a supplemental power connector that is a six pin that attachs to Nvidia card and then has two 4 pin connectors that split from it for power to connect (like the ones for DVD player) My questions: 1) The card fits perfectly into my PCI-E slot--do I even need the supplemental power plug? 2) If I do, and the Manual infers this(doesn't say it) A)do I connect hot leads from power supply into both 4 pin connectors B) or is the fact that they give you two 4 pin connectors split so it can act as a jumper between power supply and peripheral (CD burner/DVD player) for those without extra wire and connections? C) Since both 4 pin connectors are "female" it made me wonder if it neede two power connections there Any input appreciated, Brave
