Im wondering if anyone else is having issues with wordpress blogs today? For the last two years its all been fine..today I cant get into my own blog...I can get to *my* wordpress page, it shows my blog stats etc..but I cant see my blog..or edit it..or add posts. All i get is the old "The web address you entered could not be found" routine. I also cant view any other wordpress blog. My co authors (one is in Australia, the other like me is in the uk) can both get in...they say its very slow and a bit jumpy but they can post etc...

does anyone have any helpful suggestions or info?

That sucks. I haven't had any trouble with it today. I'm in Belgium and it's not slow or anything. Sorry I don't have any useful fixes.

Mine seems ok today and i never had this issue. Did you try googling for help? Or have you tried different browsers?

yes, I cleared browser history...tried a couple of different browsers...and the support page is pretty useless really, it takes your question and shoves it into a user forum for answers..trouble is..I couldnt get In the forum to see the answers,and had to ask a friend to actually post my issue for me !
Im at a loss, I thought id been banned or something..but..then when I realised I couldnt see any wordpress blog..figured it had to be some sort of issue their end.
~le sigh~ Ive got a shed load of blogging to do...isnt it always the way.

No problems here either. I just did two posts on my non-SL blog. Hope it gets worked out for you.

I've heard of this happening to a few people lately - try changing to a different DNS service.

Or on your ISP's end, while assuming you didn't mess with anything on your side that might have an effect on your network connection.

This guy's problem sounds quite similiar to yours... perhaps there's something useful among those answers.

Once you get back into your dashboard you might try setting up the post via e-mail feature. You can always adjust/edit posts at a later date but you could at least publish stuff while you can't access the website.

I agree with the others above that it's likely to be a DNS issue.

Ok...nothings worked so far, although each time I rebuilt my network adaptor (whatever that is, it gave me the option , so I tried it!) I was able to see the front page of my blog. However, each time I tried to get into the admin page, or to do a new post..I got the "we cant find this page" thinger again...
It looks like its pointing to my service provider? I cant think what else to do

Bit the bullet and called AOL..they suggested I reinstall and downgrade my browser to the last release as Im on vista (apparently the newer one doesnt like vista..although Ive been using it for almost a year lol) Sooo I did and yay! I can get my paws on my blog

Ive always liked AOL...actually Ive been with them for over 10 years..a brief fling with a couple of other providers...but Ive found aol to be about the best provider for me in my area. I know they are the butt of many jokes..but when something works for me, and does for such a long time..I can live with the odd snort of derision
