This has nothing directly to do with SL, but I need a new web hosting service for my web sites. The one I'm currently using has been getting worse and worse, and now they're under a serious DOS attack and I'm not willing to wait it out to see if they can recover.

All my sites are ASP based, so I need a service that uses the right kind of servers for that.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'd look to be setup somewhere new by the weekend.

The only windows based hosting one I have any familiarity with is a small UK outfit who only deal with dedicated servers, all my other experience is Linux based. However 1and1 offer Windows shared hosting, as a one time user of their dedicated linux servers I was happy with them though I've not experienced their shared hosting. May be Cris has some views about them in general (slu is hosted by them).

For work I recently changed to Inmotion hosting and could not be happier. They even have real life 24 hour technical phone support.

SLU is hosted with 1&1, but as a dedicated server, and I've been pleased with it. However, I have heard mixed things regarding their shared servers. Prior to 1&1, I used DiscountASP.net for several years and was pleased - they had some pretty advanced features and an excellent selection of available components.

I use Godaddy.com.
Haven't done much with my websites lately, but when I have I found them (godaddy.com) to be very helpful.

Another vote for 1&1, I have had five sites hosted with them for a number of years and found them to be reasonably priced, extremely reliable and timely responses on the rare occasion that I have had a query.

I have my sites on a dedicated server hosted with Rackmounted.com. I would highly recommend them, but they only do dedicated servers. Their shared hosting service (Datarealm) appears to be Linux only.
