Once they switch you over to Mail Beta, to my knowledge there's no way to go back to the old.

The problem is that if you're using AdBlock Plus, it will make it impossible to see most messages in Mail Beta, and you can't even deny or approve friends.

The fix for it is simple:

Just go to the pulldown menu of ABP on the right upper corner of the screen/window once you're on the Mail Beta screen/tab, and select "Disable on messaging.myspace.com", refresh the page and voila.

On MySpace, if you have AdBlock Plus installed for Firefox, MySpace pulled a sneaky and removed some functionality of MySpace for those using AdBlock: A lot of people have been pushed onto Mail Beta instead of their old system of handling private messages and friend requests. If you're one of those people and you have AdBlock Plus installed, a bunch of things won't work on their new Mail Beta until you either disable Adblock Plus altogether, or you go to that menu and select that option.

I figured there were a lot of people here who use myspace, and there are a lot of people who use AdBlock Plus, so I thought I'd just let them know.
