"Account on hold for age verification"

Hello everyone, this is like the first time I post here, just subscribe , so nice to meet u all (even if I don't know anyone yet LOL)

Anyway : I post it on Technical Help because my problem is the following one

My account is on hold for Age Request (MAC adress banned too "Second life cannot be accesed from this computer)

What gets on my nerves , is that it's not the first time my account gets on hold, because of people that ban me for "fun" , for some REASONS , and Linden Lab ban people without even investigate this account

So,like i'm a very very very patient person , i just submited a ticket (It's about the 7° ticket i submit for this account and for the same problem)

Of Course,i gave them my valid ID information , i gave my two sizes ID.
everything that confirms my Name,my birthdate and Blablabla

"Matthew Linden" i think,"helped" me , by asking me all my ALTS on Second Life, and to confirm my country of residence

(that wasnt any help)

He just let my ticket like we throw something in the trash

And no one answers , reactivate my account

That's a shame for them, because there is now about 3weeks no one answered

PS: I'm a basic account , and was going to give my Payment Informations before i get banned

Being parcel-banned doesn't get your account suspended by LL. Someone has to file an Abuse Report (usually multiple reports) claiming that you're underage. And most of the time, they won't do anything unless there's some kind of damning proof (like a chat log) where you claimed to be underage.

The best way to resolve this is to call Linden Lab on the phone and talk to one of their abuse enforcement people. If you're in Europe or Asia, I'm not sure what to tell you - it could be an international toll call.

Actually,it's a "friend" I know, she did this because we were like "fighting" , and like SHE got payments info , my account got banned

When she first ban me , she thought she was like "god"
So now she keep baning people, she already ban another friend , and she get her MAC adress banned too

and this "PROOF" , like you say,is as easy to make as if u tell me 1+1=2

I can't call them,i'm in too long distance , and i don't will ruin my Phonebill ,for ignorant thinks,i already submit my ID informations and no one answers my ticket

I'm not trying to be mean (really!), but I'm curious as to what you're doing that would cause you to be suspended twice. I've known people who've been able to return after a suspension, but my understanding is that basically it's one strike and you're out.

I'm really sorry this happened to you, Savannah, but I understand that the Lindens don't get involved in resident disputes. They don't go banninating people because Person A said something mean to Person B. I really feel like something is missing here.

The girl that reported me have been banned twice for Under age request too

I understand you're not trying to be mean, but i can't give you any answers
Infact i have been banned first for age verification, but it happened on an other Avatar

So i change my avatar, and get the same ban

Maybe because I used to have a Kid avatar and be a kid designer is the answer , and the consequences of stupid mentalities on second life

That was just a fight with that person, and she apologize for what she did,but it doesn't help at all

Again: You can't be MAC-address banned just for a resident parcel ban. It has to be the result of an Abuse Report filed with Linden Lab.

So your "friend", while not much of a friend, isn't ultimately responsible here. You need to contact LL even if it's an email to their abuse department. They're the only ones who can ban by MAC address.

I dont get how you can get banned for being underage TWICE.

After proving your age the first time, you should be age verified.

..lol , I'm sure those jokes are really funny even if i don't get it at all

But anyway,i've been banned twice because first time that I submit a ticket with my ID , and they reactivated it,they didnt gave me the "verified" status , if you know what I mean

And that was a long time ago

I told them in the ticket it was an error , because i already had a Age Verification Request

There is no reasons my ID wouldnt be valid,it gives all my informations, even the same ones i subscribe in Second Life

to answers Xiomara Mendes,i'm OVERage , if not , i would be in the teen green not "fighting" to keep my place on Second Life , and hadnt a valid ID

I was already opening my store, with all my designs, and that's the second time they do it

I just find it odd that you got suspended twice for being underage. Like Ayumi said, you should have been verified the first time you showed your ID.

Agreed. There's something more we're not being told.

Agreed. There's something more we're not being told.
Not that I'm 100% convinced on this story, but this wouldn't be the first time I've heard of LL screwing up an age verification. Given LL's propensity for completely ignoring what their customer's issue is, add in the fact that they could eff up a wet dream, and that part of the story here is fairly plausible. I've also seen someone poof right before my eyes when reported for being underage (admitted in open chat no less) only to come back a week later to give me crap about reporting him -- just before I report him again and watch him poof again. So.. It does happen, but I'm not to sure it happens like I described too often.

(Just to be clear, the one I reported was very clearly underage and a serious asshat.. I'm not that much of a meanie )

Theres nothing you won't be "told" the problem is from the fact that people usually think that's Linden Lab make their work the best as possible

I called them via Skype, everything was fine , he ask me some questions
But then he told that to be "honest" , i have to wait until someone answers my ticket and reactivate my account because i'm a BASIC account

Do you know what i find "odd"
Is that i never did anything wrong or ask anything to someone, and that's the second time they Ban me for those reasons
Theres about 2months I was trying to get help to report a Brazilian Guy taking out credits from stores , a copybotter , Copying designs from me,and other store like Armidi , Nauhgty , and more
He was SELLING it , in his own ISLAND , and no one did anything , why? Just because i'm a "Basic Account " , and he was actually Premium and owned a Land

I just can't stand this , now i will have to wait about 3weeks more , because i'm a "Basic Account"

no .. if you are a basic account you can still file a DMCA.
find out how to do it from
Second Life | DMCA: Digital Millennium Copyright Act
filing just an abuse report will do nothing.
fill in the DMCA takedown request .. including the names and locations of the offending articles (they have to be copies of YOUR original work.. if other creators have been copied, let them know. send them a SLURL and they will file for themself)
Sign your real name (scan your signature in) and fax it to the number on the page..
and LL will investigate and take down the offending content... you dont need a paid membership for that.
know your rights...

Even if you age verify on the website and have payment info, you can get hammered for an underage claim. It is teh silly, all in all.
What's worse is that SL account policies are so stone age, if you ever, EVER manage to forget your password and your security question (do I remember mine? nah), prepare for HELL.

Happened to a friend of mine. Well, she didn't forget the pass, but she made the same typo twice when changing it.
Soooo...

You get two options on the website. Answer the security question or fill out fields with three or four people that are on your friends list. Does the latter help?
Nah. You get a message that you should phone LL.
So, she phoned LL, said that she needed help, doesn't know her security question but answered the friends list thing.

So they ask her about her security question. Durr hurr. She can't answer, and they say 'don't worry, not important.'
They change questions. Real life name, birthdate, credit card number, FRIENDS LIST ENTRIES...so far so good, she answers.
And they ask about the security question again. You know, the one not important? Yeah, she can't state it after her long giving of previous info, and lo and behold, they can't help her.

Yes, even after giving the credit card number. Because of the security question she forgot.

She opens a ticket, it takes about 10 days or more of fighting, ticketing and phoning til finally, finally she can get on her account again.

...

In the non-SL world money and time is saved by giving people a simple line of 'click here to have a new password request link sent to your registered email'.

Pfff, let me tell you about this too:

I lost an other account some times ago too (lol u will think i'm WANTED from Linden Lab lmao)

So i submit a ticket for REASONS , and the WORST , is that it wasnt about AGE VERIFICATION , you know what it was about?
I don't got any idea
They told me they want to be sure i was the real owner of the account

I was like , what the hell? will it changes Her life?

So they asked me for some informations and i just ANSWRED wrong too , because ..damn...i didn't remember the Security Question -___-

She just told me "Your account can't be reactivate or disscused because you failed on the Question."

Anyway,this

*Anyway , this time i don't get why i've been pulled in Age Verification again , with a report, and i wonder what did she FIND to give proves
For me , there is no explain for this,it's just that Linden Lab send age verification request to anybody because they are afraid of a new process , don't you remember this one they had in France for letting underage minors playing Second Life

SO I totally don't agree when people say that Linden Lab ONLY ban accounts for age request with proofs ,because by what came to my Attention, the most easily way to ban someone , is to claim that this person is Underage.

I totally agree with you that I can report someone as anybody with a Basic Account, but what I say is that LL usually read first reports from Premium Accounts , in the fact that this person that I had in phone, honestly told me that Basic Account have to wait more time

At least , isn't all this a question of money
