$40USD program. Super simple to use. Includes integration for audio input from hardware, from software, plugins for effects, voiceover, etc etc. Highly highly recommend.

Nicecast is wonderful. There's a demo that overlays static after 20 minutes live if you want to check it out.

I love their effects architecture, easy to drop a simple EQ and some other plugins in, and it can output a wet/dry mix pre- or post- encoding/effects, so you can listen to how your tweaks will sound for people on the other end.
