| I am stuck on the horrible connect to iTunes screen! I have searched the internet and tried everything that there is. I can actually bring the main screen up with a clever procedure I found...but it goes away after a minute or so and dies. iTunes won't detect it and the battery wont charge past the red line. When it's IS on the main screen I don't see the charging icon over the battery icon...just the red battery line. ![]() I plugged it into the wall outlet as well as my computer and tries docking it in both also. So I called Apple and they made me an appointment only it's all the way in Atlanta...4 hours from here which is the closest. and they only have appointments on Saturdays and Sundays??? ...AND it costs up to $300 or so odd dollars to fix it if they find out what's wrong with it WTF? Does it sound like my battery is dead? I would rather just order a fresh battery. My iPhone has never been unlocked or anything like that...it's been straight iTunes updates all the way. now I have to go to the store and no iPhone to keep me warm... ![]() Please help, I feel so disconnected without my iPhone...no emails, no Internet in the grocery store line, no weather on the go, no aol, no youtube for the kids to keep them quiet in the car, ...and my shopping list is on there. :shivers: |

Business: Peregrine Salon | I really don't like Apple for all the reasons you're finding out now. Non-replaceable batteries; you're married to them and only them as a vendor; not to mention their jack-booted enforcement policies are second worst to only the RIAA. Sorry I can't offer help - but this is why I stay away. Sure, they make shiny stuff. Great if you only use 'em as toys. But I use devices and tools, and I'd rather they're reliable rather than shiny. Your story is hardly unique, or I'd write it off as a lemon! Regards, -Flip

Keep holding them in, the finger slide "switch off" bar appears, but ignore it. Keep holding them in until the phone switches off, and then it re-starts by itself.
