Didn't think it would be a high score game.

I don't expect the Bruins to go far,but its hard to tell. The last month or two of this season turned around for them so I don't know how they would fare against the western teams.
Ottawa and their stupid trap system can kill almost any team so I am happy for last nights result with the Bruins winning 2-1.
And the kid Charlie Mcavoy looked impressive in his FIRST NHL game ever! The kid is frikkin 19 years old and had 4 professional games under his belt (AHL Providence Bruins) before playing last night. sheesh, talk about being thrown into the fire.
I'm looking forward to watching his progression as he gets older.

3-2 OT win for the Caps.

That's right...beat each other up before the next series.

Last night was so amazing - a real nail biter. I'm so excited this year. I really hope we get a Habs/Bruin series.

It really surprised me to learn that the last Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup was the 1993 Montreal Canadiens. What the hells the matter up there anyway...??

Welp, after a disappointing first half of the season, my team is up 3-0 in the first round. I'm okay with that order of sucking to success. Hopefully we can keep it up.

Last year, not a single Canadian team made it to the playoffs.

You must mean St Louis.
Jake Allen, for the young pup he is, has really stepped up.

Minnesota and Calgary face elimination tonight. At least Calgary is on home ice but Minnesota will be in St Louis where they love their hockey.

I have a feeling that Marty Brodeur stepping into the goalie coach role in Feb is at least partly responsible. I no longer have to cringe so often because Allen overcommits to a stop or playing the puck.

Boston is facing elimination tonight. The seris is closer than the number suggest; every game has been determined by a single point and two of the four were in overtime. Boston has always played a physical game and tonight should be brutal as they will be playing in Ottawa.

Caps and Maple leaves are tied at 2. Both of these are offensive teams and as expected, the games have been high scoring so far.

Either game will be a good game to watch.

Go Ottawa, Go! I like a Bruins/Habs series, but gotta stick with our Can teams, especially after last year's drought.

Woot, second round. I guess we'll see what Nashville has in them in the postseason, they took down Chicago pretty handily.

Wouldn't it be funny if it came down to Edmonton and Ottawa?

Woot, Blues pull even and Edmonton goes up 2-0 in their series. Good night as far as I'm concerned.
