I have been looking for a solution to replace the SLU Knowledgebase that is integrated into the forums and provides a way to allow members to share knowledge about SL (content creation, scripting, buying/selling land, etc..) in a more structured and accessible way that just forum posts and stickied threads. While SLU is a great discussion forum, I would also like to see it become a valuable resource for help and information.

I have found a solution that I really like, and need some help testing it before going live. If you are interested in creating things such as a script library, Photoshop tutorials, new user guides, etc.., please send me a PM and let me know - I will give you access to the feature.

BTW, this type of content does get a lot of views - this tutorial I created on transparency in Paint Shop Pro has been viewed 38,000 times:

This FAQ on where to find clothing templates was viewed 16,000 times:

Where can I download the clothing templates?

Both are examples of the type of stuff I would love to see included in an updated forum version.

Any interest in integrating it somehow with Second Blogger ? I'm wondering if a blog-style format might serve better. We're still in alpha, but rapidly approaching beta.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think a blog format is right for what I'm trying to do. I'm definitely open to ideas though.

Sounds like you're looking for more "Here's how to do something" followed by a discussion? That would be definitely be better on forums. I'll gladly post any of the ones I've written over the years - I still have a ton of live help notecards (some which are still actually not out of date) and a bunch of others explaining texture resolution efficiency, animated textures... if ya want 'em.
