I have added a New Product Listings forum to help simplify listing products. It is not just a standard forum, however, it has some special features to enhance browsing and listing:

1) The first attached image becomes a thumbnail for the thread in the forum.
2) Fields for type, business name, SLURL and XStreet link are available when you create your listing (Type is required).
3) You can filter the listings in the forum by Type (hair, skin, etc) and also by business name. There are filters at the top of the forum, and clicking on a link for a type or business name will filter the forum as well.
4) There is both a detailed and grid view in the forum to let you quickly browse through the listings.
5) The threads are ordered by creation date, not last reply, so they cannot be bumped.

*important* If you want a thumbnail for your listing, you must attach an image. You can attach from either your hard drive or from a URL. You can also use inline images in your ad like any normal posting, they just will not be used for the thumbnail. To attach a file to your post, use the

icon on the editor.

I will still be making some adjustments to the layout and functionality.

The forum can be excluded. You can also add the listings to your favorite threads so you can refer back to items you want to buy.

I doubled the number of images that can be attached to 10. Please keep file sizes as small as possible. You can also upload multiple images at once now - 5 at once from your hard drive, 3 at once from a URL.

I'd be all on this like stink on rice..

except.. eclectic-randomness.com got hacked and vandalized a couple days back, and I'm still only about 1/3 of the way through reassembling the things for the site that I "really need".

Once that's done, hopefully I can get my XStreet listings back online, and that will give me the chance to try this new system out.
