I know the LOL was as bad as necro-posting. It really is a bannable offence!! In fact I think you should call the FBI on Cris' behalf and have me suitably chastised by the law.

Because doing something prior to it being against the rules is one thing but LOLing is going too far!

Other posters have said repeatedly that they don't like necroposting.

You'd think you'd get a clue when he announced the implementation of a mod to lock threads and prevent necroposting.

Do you need something spelled out so you won't be an annoying shit? You're that out of touch with social acceptability?

It's not. I thought it was more about the potential for drama.

It sometimes seems that you only have to exhale for somebody to claim you did it to deliberately upset them.

Before you know it, half a dozen clicks of agreement occur because people remember you exhaling during some negative encounter on another forum two years ago, while all your own posts are groaned at, and the usual suspects are noted for agreeing with your posts, then somebody who nobody had given a second thought about will turn up at post #500 claiming the thread is all about their exhalations and how EVERYBODY AT SLU IS AGAINST THEM, and then the LOLCAT posting and bets on reaching post #1000 will ensue, followed by Dancien kindly turning everybody's negative attention on himself by posting something offensive from his fabulous photobucket account.

I was not annoying in my personal oppinion. I made 2 valid posts in a thread with still currently valid points. At the time I did not realise they were old threads. However the points were still valid today. And one joke post that harmed no one.

However Cris' is very lucky to have a friend like you Josh, to look after him and his board because obviously he is incapable.

Just my $0.02. I accept Cristiano's policies as he is the forum owner and administrator. His playground, his ball, his rule.

On the issue of necro-posting. First thought that comes to mind is that someone should define what necro-posting entails. Bumping a year-old thread is different from on that is 3 weeks old. As an example the "Let's talk about WoW" thread stays quiet for periods of time before someone bumps it with something new.

Regardless of the time limit that Cristiano defines as applicable to necro-posting I still don'g see the problem there. So someone bumps a 4 year old tread, I open up the last comment and don't understand the conversation flow... I move to the first and find out is 4 years long... I move on, no big deal.

But that is just me
