This is effective immediately, and it applies across the board to everyone here. I will not tolerate the use of signatures to antagonize or harass other users on the site. I will edit them without warning.

Additionally, I am going to begin bumping and banning users from individual threads for fighting and personal attacks.

Repeated offenses will result in suspension and ultimate banning from SLU. This is effective immediately.

What is "fighting"? Are we still allowed to have disagreements about world events and decisions? Are we allowed to chuck a rock at someone if we don't like their face?

I know some of you won't agree with this next statement, but I think it needs to be said:

He's just trying to protect us from ourselves. Shutting down a thread when it obviously looks like its flaring out of control is the best way to cut down on the tensions.

In a way he's redirecting the hostility towards himself by closing a thread.

I personally thank Cris for taking a hit for us, because he's thinking of us. Thank you Cris.

It is there again - apparently, that is actually not part of the standard vBulletin install - I must have customized it the last time around and forgot.

I also added Ignore Thread back again as well to the Thread Tools menu on each thread (and Ignored Threads list in User CP).

Does that have anything to do with why I'm often getting logged off if I take too long to answer a post, or take 5 to go wee-wee? It's only been happening the last few days. What's the delay before you get kicked off? 5 minutes?

(Unless it's just Cristiano's subtle way of 'moderating' me, hoping I forget my password and don't come back
