Version 3.7 of vBulletin has added significantly enhanced profiles. New profiles features:

- Tabbed profiles with multiple sections.
- Inline editing of profiles - you can edit your profile directly on the profile page, and also view it as others see it.
-New profile fields have been added to provide more optional personal information.
-Visitor messages - leave and receive messages on profiles. When you have a new unread visitor message, it appears on the new Your Notifications menu (in the Welcome section where your PM notifications used to be). You can turn off visitor messages or restrict them to only your contacts/friends in User CP-->Edit Options.
-Friends and contact lists.
-See who has recently visited your profile, and how many times it has been viewed.
-Public and private photo galleries - private galleries are only vieweable by friends. I will post separately about this feature.
-Blog entries appear in profile.
-List of groups you belong to (I will post about this feature separately too).

If you do not want visitor messages, you can turn off the feature in your User CP under Edit Options - you can also restrict them only to those you have added to your contacts.
