Business: Eclectic Randomness | REQ: tga uploads Pretty much the default format I use for textures I'm uploading to SL, is "TGA". Because the alpha channel rules are so well ingrained in my from my years of doing decals and textures for Mechwarrior, I save all my finished vendor art as tga, and then save off a smaller 370x370 image for use on my personal blog (so they images won't scroll on my webtab). XstreetSL now allows upload of tga files, which it then converts into jpegs for use on the site. It would be handy (and save me some work) if SLShopper allowed tga uploads as well. That way I could easily use my 512x512 vendor art without having to remember to also save a png of the full-size version.

Snack time..
| Allowing Targa upload would be nice, though my personal workaround to this issue is to keep a folder of "Convert to <format>" Photoshop Droplets on my dock with various attached rulesets. That way I can just grab an image or folder of images, drop them on the droplet, and it spits out a clean folder of my converted content. The following automation settings and droplet configuration should give you what you need (I think) provided you are using flat TGA files with only one alpha channel. I don't think the available options and settings should vary much on the PC version of Photoshop. If you aren't using Photoshop, perhaps your software of choice offers similar automation functionality. ![]() ![]() Obviously the folder destinations and a couple of other things could use some fine-tuning to your particular situation. |

Business: Eclectic Randomness | yeah that's totally useless for an XP user. And photoshop takes about 2-5 minutes to load on my system, more towards 5 when SL is running)

My Mood: | http://www.imagemagick.org Then it's just convert foo.tga foo.png and you're done, no monster apps to load. And they even make a version for Windows. |

Business: Eclectic Randomness | still, it would be less work if SLShopper accepted the defacto standard for SL texture uploads, since, in fact, SLShopper is the only website where I am encouraged to post 512 images, and yet not allowed to use TGA.
