OK so it's not specifically SL related, but theres a lot of SL people on it, and I joined up a few days back, looking to expand my friends list and of course get the Karma boost

So please if you like me enough to be charitable, add me?

I registered for Plurk too but don't use it because I use Twitter.

Still... I'm happy to distribute Karma.

i have a plurk account but frankly only check it once in a blue moon because i don't believe it's necessary to lay out what everyone on my list is saying on a big-ass timeline that I have to keep open.

Despite its downtimes and scalability issues, I much prefer Twitter, due to the number of tools that are out there to choose from as well as the speed with which one can post messages.

Plurk, despite looking pretty and novel, just doesn't seem to have the same functionality or convenience for me.

I went to plurk but my Firefox bad stuffz stopper ad-ons freaked out with all the scripts. It looked really time consuming at first glance. I don't even use Twitter that much.

Pardon the necro-spam

A few months have passed since I first posted this, and more and more SL people join Plurk every day. I think that you might be surprised at the number of people plurking daily. May be a way to reconnect with people you lost touch with, or a new way to meet SL people. I've met a bunch of new people on there, some really nice people.

One of the people on there Moggs Oceanlane, is kind of an ambassador, she has been dedicated enough to put together a comprehensive list of SL Plurkers and maybe if you're curious about Plurk and who all you can connect with on there, this might help you know.

Another benefit that you might consider, your own page is entirely CSS driven, so you can customize it completely, including background images. So it can really be a great showcase for your avatar. (Show your style, anyone?) Plurk themes Flickr makes it easy to change your theme with a click.
