More by virtue of Blackberry’s plummeting market share than amazing Windows Phone growth, it seems the installed base of Windows Phone is set to overtake that of Blackberry in US by the end of November 2012 (around week 47).
The projection is based on extrapolating StatCounter web usage data from the beginning of the year, and would mean there would be more Windows Phones in the wild in USA than Blackberries.
The launch of a new range of Windows Phones in October or November in USA is likely to accelerate the trend, cementing Windows Phone as the (very minor) third player in USA.

Could there be a patent fight between Microsoft and RIM? At this point Microsoft could probably buy RIM.
Blackberry copying the Windows Phone People Hub | WMPoweruser Quote:
Countering accusations of copying, McCann said many of the features have already been built into the contact management system on the latest version of the operating system that powers RIM’s PlayBook tablet device (above), and have originated from Seattle-based company Gist that was acquired by RIM in early 2011, and where McCann was CEO.
Given however that Blackberry 10 OS has already copied the Live Tiles I will continue to have my suspicions.
