This is fucking absurd - the injunction is over a unified search patent. Yes, people, apparently Apple invented search. I hope this petty bullshit comes back to bite Tim Cook et al in the ass.

The patent was issued in 2004. Without arguing whether it's a valid patent ... it's hard to believe Samsung didn't know about the patent and if Samsung ignored it and infringed it anyway ... then they made their bed and can sleep in it. Given the same circumstances in reverse you can bet Samsung would file for an injunction against an Apple product.

I agree across the board that it is ridiculous - for Samsung, for Apple, or any other company. Our patent system is ridiculously broken.
