I'm sure most by now have heard that over 6 million LinkedIn passwords were stolen in a breach.

However, today it comes to light that at least 60% of those passwords have already been decrypted, with estimates that almost all have.

The reason? LinkedIn used straight SHA1 encryption without any salting. (bad practice)
