After a recent patch, performance dropped a whopping 42% on Windows 7, and 38% on Windows XP. Now may definitely be a time to look into alternatives. Business: ANOmations Blog Entries: 16 XBOX Leaderboard: 22nd | Of course it is going to load faster, it is part of the OS - but that is not particularly useful if once it loads, it is slower than any other browser at displaying pages and processing javascript. The latest beta of Firefox loads faster than previous releases. I always have Firefox open, so the fact that it takes a few extra seconds to load initially is nothing. |
