| Oracle buys Sun The Database Systems company Oracle Corp has just announced an agreement with Sun Microsystems Inc, to purchase Sun. The Associated Press: With IBM out, Oracle jumps in to buy Sun for $7.4B Makes the future of MySQL (the database behind SL ) an interesting one, which was acquired by Sun last year. My guess is that Oracle will still market/support MySQL (which has become Opensource) but push the high end users on to their Oracle system .
