Buying A 4K TV Is A Nightmare

This is a very useful guide if you are in the market for a 4K tv. I just recently purchased a 55" Samsung 4K TV and I'm extremely pleased with it, but I also did a ton of research before I bought it because there are a lot of confusing options out there:

I have a great deal of trouble telling if I'm even watching HD, unless I sit switching between the regular and HD version of the same channel. But then I have a 24 inch TV (well, its a monitor but I use it as a TV).

I hate these huge TV sets. Massive mirror smooth black slabs, they hover around in people's sitting rooms like the obelisk in 2001, only they provide less enlightenment.

All I needed was the right price, HDR10 and at least 3 HDMI ports. I settled with a 43" because anything bigger would have been too big for where I have it.

HDR Pro is just LG's name for HDR10.

Very nice. We picked up one of these a few months ago, and we've been quite happy with it:

This chart indicates that even 1080 is only worth it over 720 for a 24 inch tv if you watch the tv from 5 feet or less away.
