Sometimes maybe, but not necessarily all the time.

It might be that I can set things so that only items and outfits bought from my affiliate store can be used and worn at my experience. That doesn't mean they can't be used elsewhere of course - that all depends on how other experience owners have got their worlds set up.

Expanding on what I said, what I also might be able to do as the experience owner is to tag those things myself with keywords. Once I've done that - say tagged things as 'Medieval' - then other experience owners can take advantage of that and allow anything that uses that tag. They too can have their own affiliate store, choose items and add the same tags - which I might also allow on my experience.

The tagging of items would then be happening organically and over time. Overall it's less work because the work is spread across experience owners. The creators of the clothing don't necessarily have to add any tags at all - it's all done by the experience owners as and when.

Well, that's just my vague idea of how it could work anyway.

...that's almost half of what a properly optimized full region in SL can do! AWESOME ...not.

That would pretty much guarantee that I would stay the F away from that "experience".

Actually, if it calls itself an "experience" I'll probably just stay the F away from the word go, just because the completely appalling "experience" design in SL has poisoned the word.

Ah, I misread your post. But, I will say that Blender is getting better and better. Its just a huge learning curve.

No problem. Yes Blender is getting better and better. In some ways I find the version I was using easier to learn than previous versions. The version I have is about 2 and a half years old. That is how long it's been since I could get to my desktops. They'll be accessible again soon and I'll have to update and learn it all over again.

Funny story about vr boob gropes. When I first got my Oculus Rift, Mistress Midnight and I went into High Fidelity to check it out. When you are using the Oculus touch controllers, your avatar hands and arms move as you move your hands in RL. You see your avatar in first person by default. I reached out my hands and Mistress' avatar was in front of me facing me, so I ended up groping her avatar boobs.

A High Fidelity employee in the welcome area started yelling at me and called over to Mistress to ask if she was ok and if I was bothering her. She told her she was fine and we were friends messing around, and that the person bothering us was the 10 foot tall viking with an axe who was trying to have his way with both of us.

Sounds familiar doesn't it? Except the ones on the market today are worn on the head rather than the shoulders.
My bad as I was told that before even but keep misremembering due to first seeing it marketed in 2003 but never digged deeper then and in 2006 I only heard of the social platform direction. Still, the 1999 idea for a direction is a bit better than current one.

I wish the people on the other boards clamoring for an SL produced mesh body, so they don't have to purchase a specialty mesh body, would get an eyeful of what LL comes up with when left to their own devices.

The clamoring isn’t for LL to do their traditional half-assed job, but for a professional, thought-out updated avatar system to free the market from the handful of players that now have a stranglehold on one of the few remaining profitable markets in the platform.

No one wants a body version of Linden Homes. Sure, it’s not like LL is going to wake up tomorrow and be a different company that gives a fuck or does anything professionally, but that doesn’t mean their users shouldn’t be calling for it.

Frankly I'd be happy if they went back to the old Linden avatars. I don't know exactly when, I think about the time Windlight came out, but they redid them about 2006- or 2007-ish... and the male avatar in particular got way more grotesque than it used to be.
